Science Projects

We know as you progress in your lessons on Edgenuity you are going to have to complete several projects, and then upload your finished project to Edgenuity.  You will need to have some supplies for these projects, however, if you are missing some supplies, you may substitute some supplies for others.  For instance, if you are unable to obtain a poster board you may tape a few sheets of paper together to make a poster size piece of paper.  However, we want to stress that you work needs to be neat and clearly understandable.  If we cannot read your work, we cannot grade it.

Grades in Edgenuity

Relative Grade - The relative grade which assumes that the user will receive zeros for any incomplete activities.  If you do not complete another assignment for the rest of the semester, this would be your grade for the class. This grade is super low at the beginning of the semester because you have only done a few assignments/ quizzes.

Overall Grade - The overall grade is only for work that the student has completed.  This is only the work the student has completed, regardless of if they are on track or not.

Actual Grade - The actual grade is based on the overall grade about the time elapsed.  If you are staying exactly on track each day, this grade will reduce each morning based on the lessons you should have completed by the end of the day.  However, at the end of the day, it should be back up.  If you work ahead and are ahead of target, your grade will not be as heavily impacted by the day to to day expectations.
