Policies Within the Science Classroom

Entering the Classroom
  1. Quietly walk in and go to your assigned seat.
  2. Start your BellWork (Agenda on Mondays)
  3. During your BellWork and Attendance, voice levels remain at zero.
While Mrs. Bobo is doing Direct Instruction
  1. You are not talking, you are at Voice Level Zero.
  2. You are not raising your hand.  (There will be a time for questions after I have given Direct Instruction.)
  3. You are not going through your stuff.
  4. You are facing Mrs. Bobo, and are giving your complete attention.
During Individual Work Time
  1. You are working alone at your desk.
  2. You are at a Voice Level zero.
  3. If you have a question you ask Mrs. Bobo, not your neighbor.
During Group Activities
  1. You are working with your group, at a Voice Level 1.
  2. You are being respectful to others around you.
  3. You are working on the activity, and you are not discussing topics with your partners inappropriate for science.
During Laboratory Activities
  1. You are working with your group, at a Voice Level 1.
  2. You are being respectful to others around you.
  3. You are working on the activity, and you are not discussing topics with your partners inappropriate for science.
  4. You are following the procedure placed at your laboratory station.
Turning in Papers
  1. Do NOT try to hand them to Mrs. Bobo when she has not asked for them.
  2. When Mrs. Bobo says to –
  • Make sure your First and Last name is on your paper
  • Make sure your Hour is on your paper
  • Put it in a nice and neat stack in the center of your table.
  • Mrs. Bobo will designate one student to bring the papers to her.
Exiting the Classroom
  1. The Bell does NOT dismiss you, Mrs. Bobo dismisses you.
  2. When Mrs. Bobo says to –
  • Stand up,
  • Push in your chair,
  • Stand behind your chair.
  • When Mrs. Bobo calls your table, quietly walk to the door and exit.
